Digital MP3 Player

Digital MP3 player is there any other kind. I find it quite funny when people refer to MP3 players as digital. The format would not exist if it was not digital. You cannot store an analog signal on a MP3 player. Analog are cassettes and records (vinyl) and that is it.

What people don't realize is that digital although convenient is not that good of true sound reproduction. For those of us that enjoy true audiophile reproduction have to suffer with this new format. Yes MP3s are easier and sound okay through headphones they sound like crap through a good stereo and they lose a lot of the true music. They sound hollow and rigid not warm and flowing. This is just another loss for us because on consumerism.
