There are Star Wars MP3 all over the Internet. Every famous line from each of the movies is available in MP3 format online. Still not enough? No worries, Star Wars ringers are also available.

MP3 Downloads the Format of the Future

It seems the electronic and music industry have decided that MP3 downloads will be the next format to take over.

First I want to explain where I am coming from so you understand my qualifications to make the statement I am about to make. I was a High-end Stereo salesperson for years. I have sold system in excess on $75,000.00. I current have a Home Theater/ Stereo that is valued at approximately $20,000.00. I have been reading and studying stereos for many years and would consider myself an audiophile.

So with that in mind here I go. Outside of headphones MP3s sound very hollow and do not seem to reproduce all the frequencies of the musical spectrum. I spoke with a friend of mine who is a sound engineer and I have to say he is not happy with the format either. Here is what he said "I work for many pain staking hours to make the band sound a certain way and through a CD that is how they sound, but on MP3 the sound much different and in my opinion very bad." I was surprised to hear this from someone in the industry. I agreed with every point he made.

The truth is since foreign countries, namely Japan, have taking over the mass production and basically the market our sound quality has gone down hill. I challenge anyone to take a CD and MP3 that are the same and goto one of the few remaining high-end stereo retailers, and listen to them on a good stereo. Foo Fighters MP3 Downloads Coming to Amazon.com!

Just today, Sony BMG announced that they too would begin selling their entire catalog digitally in MP3 format on Amazon.com by the end of the month. Sony was he last of the major 4 labels to begin selling their catalog on Amazon.com.

Weather you are looking for a Foo Fighters MP3, Justin Timberlake MP3 or even Bruce Springstean MP3, you will be able to find them on Amazon. The move by Sony will inevitably increase Amazon's market share against iTunes.

Amazon will be offering tracks in the price range of 89 cents to just over a dollar. The variability in prices is what the record labels were hoping for. Amazon downloads will play on a variety of mp3 players, where as most music purchased on iTunes can only be played on an Apple device, again increasing market share.

MP3 Players, Boom Boxes for the year 2000's!

I suppose it was inevitable and just a matter of time before someone invented the mp3 player with built in speaker. Just when public transportation became quiet again, Creative Company decided to go one step further with the tiny portable music device, and added a speaker. Apparently the company's CEO thought it was a good idea to free people from their headphones. Guess he doesn't rely on public transportation.

Don't get me wrong; I'm sure there are some useful applications for the device. It would alleviate the need to purchase a device such as igo to get your music on your car speakers, but I personally would rather have the music coming out of my car speakers rather than a little MP3 player. However, if you are one of the people who miss the 80's, don't worry there will be plenty of people blaring their music publicly for you to listen to on the street or on the bus while your strutting your leg warmers!
